This temporary page is in place to allow me to publish small game projects that I'm using for learning. These projects are, for the most part, based off of Microsoft's starter kits, so don't get all excited. My goal is to learn from the examples and add features to them. Soon I hope to be publishing something really cool here, but in the mean time, have fun with my learning tools.... For those expecting www.mesohordie.com - this is it... sort of. I'll be getting that page reconstructed shortly - both sites should be up and running in a more useful fashion before Christmas. I hope....

This is just the stock starter kit compiled.  I haven't looked closely enough at the code yet to add features or anything just yet -
though I might make a quick savegame editor....  Maps are more complex than the Platformer levels, but still pretty simple to build.

This is currently not running on my daughter's computer - it crashes on start.  She's running WinXP Pro on some older
hardware, so I'm thinking it might be a video driver issue.  Currently under investigation - I think it might have something to do with
the fact that it starts an XBox Live session and she doesn't have an account, and feedback would be appreciated.

Platformer1 - Windows
I have added a few things to this.  I have kept the score from level to level, added an extra life feature at 10,000 points,
added an "Extra Life" gem, and I added the feature allowing arbitrary level widths with parallax scrolling that is described
in the documentation (cut'n'paste - didn't take the time to figure it out myself).  I'm thinking of allowing arbitrary level
heights as well, and I'll be adding the "Power Up Gem" feature described in the documentation soon.
